Serious games for the road

Not forgetting gamers who are on the go, HP introduced two new Omen laptops available in two screen sizes: 15-inch and 17-inch. Featuring a redesigned look largely inspired by fighter jets and spacecraft, HP said the two laptops are built for gamers and come with more expansion capabilities, additional ports and VR compatibility too.

The Omen 15 is said to deliver gaming grade performance with the option to outfit up to a Radeon RX550 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060. Meanwhile, the Omen 17 can be configured up to a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX580.

Both laptops come with Intel Core i-Quad Core CPUs for raw computing power to handle demanding games.

Just like its desktop counterpart, the Omen 15 and 17 focus on high-performance cooling with a new thermal engineering design that features multiple fans, heat pipes and exhausts to keep them running cool in the midst of a heated online battle.

The Omen laptops offer a bevy of display options that include a 4K display for high-resolution content playback, 120Hz 1080p display option for fast refresh rates with Nvidia G-Sync options or a 60Hz 1080p display with FreeSync for Radeon GPUs.
