- Affordable X1 Lite extends Neffos’ smartphone X series
- Boasts larger battery and fast unlocking fingerprint sensor
SMARTPHONE maker Neffos has introduced its new X1 Lite smartphone to the Malaysian market at US$117 (RM499).
The Neffos brand was established by networking device maker TP-Link in 2015 in a bid to act as the bridge between the company’s network equipment and smart home devices.
With a symmetrically designed body and a dual-curved cover, the X1 Lite weighs just 138g and has a natural one-hand grip for easy handling.
It has narrow edges that measure just 2.75mm while the 5-inch HD display (1,280 x 720 resolution) has a 2.5D glass top.
Powering the X1 Lite is a MediaTek octa core processor coupled with a Mali T860 MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
As for its interface, Neffos’ NFUI (Neffos User Interface) 2.0 runs on top of Android 7.0. Understanding the importance of all day battery performance, the X1 has a 2,550mAh battery that is larger than even the X1’s 2,250mAh battery.
It has a 13-Megapixel rear camera with phase-detection autofocus that focuses in 0.2 seconds and a fast f/2.0 aperture.
Meanwhile, the 5-Megapixel front camera is designed for selfie lovers with an 84-degree wide-angle lens that makes taking group selfies easier.
For added security, the X1 Lite has a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Neffos says that the fingerprint data refines over time so the more you unlock the X1 Lite, the quicker and more “accurate” it gets. The sensor also doubles as a shutter button to make capturing selfies easier.
The Neffos X1 Lite is available in two colours: cloudy grey and sunrise gold.
The handset will be available at all authorised Neffos retailers and resellers nationwide by August 2017.
