IT IS not just about fun and games with MSI Malaysia as the company is making a serious push to business and creative professionals with the launch of its latest series of notebooks: the P65 Creator PC, PS42 Modern and WS65 Workstation.
Designed for creative talents that demand high-performance users such as designers, photographers and 3D animators, MSI claims the three new models showcase its strength at offering premium hardware configurations.
Offering aesthetically-pleasing looks paired with the raw power to handle demanding workloads, the P65 has an ultra-slim 17.9mm bezel display and a compact design.
Highly portable, allowing mobile workers to get to work no matter where they are, the P65 weighs just 1.88kg.
Don’t let its looks fool you, the new P65 comes equipped with the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 discrete graphics.
MSI says the P65 has a long battery life that allows it to run for up to nine hours when unplugged from a power outlet.
For easy unlocking, it has a fingerprint reader located in the corner of its trackpad and Cortana voice assistant.
Adding to that, MSI's True Color Technology is said to offer colour fidelity that is close to 100% accurate and offers vivid sRBG colours to best fit the needs of artists or photographers.
The MSI P65 silver variant retails at a starting price of RM3,999 while the white edition retails for RM9,999.
If you are looking for something even lighter, there is the featherweight PS42 Modern. At just 1.19kg the PS42 Modern is slim and elegant.
It comes in a full metal chassis that lacks a 14-inch Full HD display, within a body typically reserved for a 13-inch laptop.
The PS42 comes powered by an 8th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor and comes fitted with a Nvidia GeForce MX150 discrete graphics that is said to be enough to handle gaming as well as photo and video editing.
MSI says the PS42 is designed with power-efficiency in mind as it is said to give up to 10 hours of on-the-go usage.
The MSI PS42 Modern retails at a starting price of RM3,799.
Last but not least, the new WS65 mobile workstation is all about power. It boasts a similar design to MSI’s GS65 Stealth Thin gaming notebook that made its mark in 2017.
This 15.6-inch mobile workstation boasts an impressive array of specs that include an Intel 8th Generation Core i9 processor together with Nvidia Quadro P4200 graphics. In addition, MSI features a battery that lasts up to 8 hours of battery life.
The MSI WS65 is slated to appear later in November 2018 though no price has been announced.
