MOTOROLA has launched the latest edition of its G-series of phones with the Moto G5S Plus, the first of its class to sport dual cameras at just RM999.

The Moto G5S Plus comes with a precision-crafted all-metal unibody design that invokes the look of a more premium device. It comes in two colour variants: Lunar Gray and Blush Gold.

The Moto G5S Plus boasts a 5.5-inch Full HD display that is said to offer vivid colours and fine details.

The multi-tasking fingerprint reader in front helps unlock the phone with ease. In addition, the Moto Actions has two new features that include Night Display and Quick Reply.

On the inside, it comes powered by a 2Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM and packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

It comes with a 3,000mAh battery that is said to offer all-day performance, negating the mid-day panic to recharge the phone. Not to worry, even if you forget to charge the phone it can be recharged quickly thanks to its TurboPower charger feature that provides six hours of battery life in just 15 minutes.

The main highlight of the phone definitely is its 13-Megapixel dual cameras that are paired with a special depth effect mode that allows users to take subjects against a blurred background. On the front, you get an 8-Megapixel wide-angle camera with a LED Flash to illuminate dark situations.

The Moto G5S Plus will run on Android 7.1 that provides a near Stock Android experience.

Motorola also revealed the new Moto X4, a phone that it terms as an affordable premium. Encased in a robust protective IP68-rated water-resistant design that keeps it protected from the elements.

The new Moto X4 also features dual cameras though one is a 12-Megapixel camera and the other is an 8-Megapixel wide angle camera. Like the G5S Plus, it too can take photos with a blurred background effect.

It has other smart camera features including a Landmark Detection feature that allows you to point at an object and identify what it is you are seeing.

Flipping it around, it has a front facing 16-Megapixel camera for selfies and a Panoramic Selfie mode to include more people in the shot.

This being a higher end model, it is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 2.2Ghz octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage that expands up to 2TB.

It too has a 3,000mAh battery with TurboPower charging for fast recharge.

The Moto X4 comes in two colours: Super Black and Sterling Blue. It is available now at retail price of RM1,899.

Both the Moto G5S Plus and X4 are available now from Motorola brand stores or on Motorola’s e-store on Lazada Malaysia.
