MOTO Z owners won’t have to wait much longer to sink their teeth into Android 7.0 Nougat, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, which is slated to hit their devices by the end of Feb 2017.
The Nougat update will bring a number of additional features to the Moto Z including Multi-Window View that allows users to multitask by displaying two apps on the Moto Z’s 5.5-inch full HD screen at the same time.
Part of the new system update is its changes to notifications which are now grouped together when coming from the same app. This gives users a more streamlined and visually pleasing experience when browsing through the notification bar.
Users can reply to messages quicker with Direct Reply in the notifications bar, letting you get back to what you are doing.
Even when you are not using your Moto Z, Nougat’s Doze Mode will kick in to help you save battery life when you are not using your phone. In addition, there is a Data Saver feature that helps you save data so you have more to use when uploading photos to social media or streaming videos.
Lastly, there is a little something for virtual reality (VR) dreamers it is compatible with Google’s VR platform Daydream that lets users immerse themselves in new VR experiences.
