Garmin introduces Venu 2 series GPS smartwatchGARMIN Malaysia has officially announced the Venu 2 and Venu 2 GPS smartwatches.

These are the successors to 2019’s Venu series devices, and now introduces new smart and fitness features catering to people looking for a lifestyle smartwatch.

In the statement, Garmin said the Venu 2 series is available in two sizes. The Venu 2 sports a 45mm watch case with 22mm band, while the Venu 2S has a 40mm watch case with 18mm band.

Both feature stainless steel bezel and hardware with quick-release silicone band.

Both devices tout more than 25 built-in sports applications, and users can access enhanced strength training profiles as well as muscle map graphics.

Garmin claimed the Venu 2 has a battery life of up to 11 days in smartwatch mode, while the Venu 2S ostensibly offers 10 days of power.

According to Garmin, 10 minutes of charge can add up to one day’s worth of battery, or one hour of GPS + music battery life. Turning on battery saver mode can extend the usage.

The Venu 2 and 2S is equipped with a broad range of 24/7 health monitoring features, including heart rate, fitness age, advanced sleep (with sleep score and insights), respiration, Pulse Ox3, all-day stress, hydration, and women’s health (including menstrual cycle tracking and pregnancy tracking).

Garmin said there’s also a “Body Battery function,” which informs users on how “charged” their body is, meant to be helpful for scheduling workouts, rest and sleep.

Chief among the new features is Health Snapshot, which Garmin claimed to allow users to log a two-minute session to record key health stats and generate and overall report for any healthcare provider.
