THE workforce of today needs to be ready for the business environment of tomorrow. With that in mind, Dell Malaysia has set out to provide the workforce of tomorrow with the right tools.
The company recently unveiled a new suite of commercial laptops designed to address the myriad of new ways people work today.
“Today’s workforce is different from that of the past and devices need to be transformed too. We aim to help our customers modernise their IT infrastructure to support their digital transformation agenda,” said Dell EMC Malaysia country manager KT Ong.
Ong expects desktop and notebooks to remain relevant in business operations with the latest range of products to help mobile workers be more productive.
The new Vostro and refreshed Latitude portfolio are developed with the mobile workforce in mind. Thinner, lighter and more powerful offering maximum mobility with an aluminium casing, the new Vostro 13 5370 and Vostro 14 5471 offer the right balance of business features and outstanding style and mobility delivered by professionals.
The models offer generous solid-state drive with up to 512GB of storage to store lots of data without hybrid storage. They would also be equipped with up to 32GB DDR4 memory to keep the laptops fast.
For demanding graphics-rich applications, there is the option of the AMD Radeon 530 discrete graphics with up to 4GB of GDDR5 memory.
The laptops are also equipped with anti-glare FHD IPS display so that users can see images clearly from any angle. To join important meetings while on the go, the laptops have a built-in HD webcam and Waves MaxxAudio Pro to deliver clearer video and audio.
Available now, the Dell Vostro 13 5371 has a starting price of RM3,199 while the Vostro 14 5471 has a starting price of RM2,799.
Meanwhile, Dell’s Latitude portfolio of secure and manageable commercial notebooks and 2-in-1s have been refreshed with the latest dual-core and quad-core 8th Gen Intel Core vPro 15w processors.
Dell has refreshed the Latitude 7390 line-up with thin and light designs. Combining a premium design and great durability, the Latitude is clearly built with high-end materials that are sure to turn heads.
The Latitude 7390 also has a 2-in-1 series offering great flexibility with a touchscreen that enables users to quickly access applications for use with an optional active pen for fast note taking.
The new Latitude 7390 13 comes with processor options up to Intel 8th Gen processors and SSD for optimal performance.
Dell also introduced the Latitude 5290 series that it has touted as the ultimate mobility tool. With an HD display and all-day battery life, the Latitude 12 5290 lets users work from anywhere.
There is also the new Latitude 5290 2-in-1, a thin, light and powerful device that weighs less than 1kg and has an auto-deploy kickstand.
Dell’s Latitude 7390 and 5290 laptop have starting prices of RM6,461 and RM4,399 respectively. For the mobile worker, they can consider the Latitude 7390 and 5290’s 2-in-1 counterparts that go for starting prices of RM6,042 and RM5,711 respectively.
