And we're live ... finally!!

IT is a relief to finally have Digital News Asia (DNA) up and running. It has taken the typical hard work and running helter-skelter to get things done. There will probably be plenty of kinks to be ironed out and we will do these on the fly.
The site however is just a platform. Our aim is to highlight and profile what goes on in our ecosystem on a daily basis and with updates on entrepreneurs who are doing exciting stuff. Our promise to you is that we aim to make DNA a world-class site from which readers will be able to get a good sense of what is going on in Malaysia's tech ecosystem and share in the ups and downs of our entrepreneurs.
We also aim to highlight what traditional companies are doing with technology to sharpen their competitiveness. The aim here is simple: To hopefully inspire all Malaysian companies to see the value in the smart adoption of technology. And, for others to follow suit.
Our seven channels have been kept as broad as possible as we do not want to get into having too many channels and confuse readers and ourselves!
We are also grateful for our sponsors, the Malaysian Software Testing Board (MSTB), NetApp, NSN, Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) and Malaysia Venture Capital Management Bhd (Mavcap), who have come in as Pioneer Sponsors. The three of us -- me, A. Asohan and Edwin Yapp -- are editorial people and the idea of trying for sponsors was just wishful thinking on our part, but we have been greatly humbled by the confidence shown by our sponsors in DNA.
We hope to live up to their expectations and to yours, our readers. It's going to be a fun ride!
