ISACA to host governance, security conference

THE ISACA Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA) is hosting its annual IT Governance Assurance and Security Conference on July 10 and 11 at the One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya.

The 11th edition of the conference aims to focus on what organizations need to do to strengthen IT Governance, assurance and security practices here in Malaysia, ISACA said in a statement.

Delegates to the conference will be exposed to presentation topics related to emerging trends such as cloud computing governance issues, security for mobile computing, system forensics, investigation and response and lessons learned from SAP Implementation, it added.

Also available at the conference are four master classes which consists of technical and management track, ISACA said. The technical track covers topics such as auditing security risks in virtual IT systems, fundamentals of penetration testing, while the management track will cover COBIT 5.0 and the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

ISACA is a recognized global provider of education and certifications related to information systems assurance and security, enterprise governance of IT- and IT-related risk and compliance. In Malaysia, ISACA has over 650 members with more than 350 professionals holding various certifications.
