Opera Mini data plan allows unlimited web browsing
Customers can also surf Twitter Mobile for free via Maxis FREEZONE
MAXIS Berhad, in partnership with Opera Software, has launched unlimited web browsing via the Opera Mini browser for as low as RM1 a day.
This Opera Mini data plan will be delivered via the web pass platform, a flexible and cost-effective way of getting online without having to commit to a monthly data plan, Maxis said in a statement.
It gives Maxis’ prepaid and postpaid users the freedom to access the Internet, with total control over their browsing experience, the company claimed.
“With the launch of unlimited web browsing via the Opera Mini browser, we are providing customers an attractive mobile data plan that enables cost-conscious mobile web surfers to enjoy unlimited browsing, anytime and anywhere over our network,” T. Kugan, Maxis’ head of digital services.
“This data plan combines what customers need most for mobile web browsing: Speed, flexibility and simplicity,” said Lars Boilesen, Opera Software chief executive officer.
“Partnering with Maxis has offered us the opportunity to provide more Malaysians an easier way to access the internet with mobile devices … browsing the web via your mobile devices has never been so affordable.”
Whenever mobile users would like to browse the web over Maxis' network, they can easily activate the Opera Mini unlimited browsing data plan and start surfing. They need to run the Maxis/ Opera Mini browser, click the ‘RM1/DAY’ web pass icon, pick the one-day, unlimited data plan and confirm the purchase.
In addition to enjoying this data plan for as low as RM1 a day, customers can also surf Twitter Mobile for free via Maxis FREEZONE by clicking on the ‘Maxis FREEZONE’ icon in the homepage of the Maxis/ Opera Mini browser.
The Opera Mini data plan is available for the Opera Mini browser 4.4, and above, on BlackBerry, J2ME, S60 and Android phones. To learn more about the Opera Mini unlimited web browsing data plan from Maxis, customers can visit http://www.hotlink.com.my/.
