BLACKBERRY Ltd has introduced its new BlackBerry Z3 smartphone to Malaysia, saying it would be available to customers from July 7 through authorised partners.

The new smartphone provides BlackBerry users more ways to connect and share, with an experience built on reliable, secure communications, the company claimed.

It will keep users better connected and more productive with a 5in display, long-lasting battery and the best typing experience on a touchscreen, it said in a statement.

“Malaysia is a key market for us and we are excited to be working with our partners to bring in the BlackBerry Z3 to customers here,” said Ben Quirin (pic above), managing director of Indochina at BlackBerry.

“This device … will extend the full capabilities of the BlackBerry 10 Operating System version 10.2.1 experience for a new generation of customers in Malaysia,” he added.

BlackBerry Z3 Malaysian users will also be able to enjoy local content on their device, including a special set of BBM Stickers and BBM Channels featuring local characters Upin and Ipin.

In addition, BlackBerry Z3 users will be able to join local BBM Channels and get more updates from their favourite brands, communities and opinion leaders, the company said.
