Cradle board member Faizah Mohamed Amin passes away

A seasoned technocrat with over 20 years of cross-industry experience, Faizah's career spanned leadership roles in local and multinational corporations.

Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd has announced the passing of its Board member Faizah Mohamed Amin, peacefully at the age 56 today, with the agency extending its heartfelt condolences to her family and loved ones.

Faizah was appointed to Cradle’s Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director in Sept 2019. She also served as the Chairperson of the Board Audit, Risk and Governance Committee and was a valued member of the Board Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

A seasoned technocrat with over 20 years of cross-industry experience, Faizah's career spanned leadership roles in local and multinational corporations. She was pivotal in various national and international flagship projects, including Malaysia's first-generation Internet, the National Public Cloud, and Saudi Arabia's first smart city, Madinah Knowledge Economic City.

She also contributed to groundbreaking initiatives like the Bahrain Twin Tower and Malaysia's first Digital Twin Manufacturing Facility for Tier 1 Aero Plant.

Faizah spent a significant part of her career at TM Bhd in various senior leadership positions. In 2014, she joined UMW Group as the President of UMW Technology and later, in 2018, was appointed the Managing Director of HP Inc., Malaysia. Under her leadership, HP Malaysia won several prestigious awards, including Malaysia's Excellence Marketing Award and Malaysia's Excellence HR Award in 2019.

Her visionary leadership and dedication to nurturing Malaysia's technology landscape were widely recognised and celebrated, said Cradle. “Faizah's passing represents a significant loss to Cradle and Malaysia's startup ecosystem. She leaves behind an enduring legacy of innovation, growth, and commitment to the development of technology in Malaysia and beyond,” said the agency.
