MALAYSIANS will be able to experience the World Cup Finals in a multitude through a live football portal that Says.com has set up in collaboration with AllsportzAsia.
The digital platform would allow everyone to enjoy real-time updates courtesy of UK-based sports data company Opta, delivered by a team of TV and radio personalities, Says.com operator Rev Asia said in a statement.
These personalities include Jeevan Selvanathan (BBC, ESPN, international sports commentator), Ross Yusof (AMP, Thank Friday It’s Football and Life’s A Pitch host on BFM Radio), Roshan Narayan (host of Astro’s UEFA Champions League coverage) and Renai Mattu (ESPN, Fox Sports and Astro SuperSports).
Under the direction of radio icon Ross Yusof and AMP disc jockey Roshan Narayan, Says Live Football visitors will have access to daily podcasts, both previewing and reviewing all the games throughout football’s biggest tournament.
They will also enjoy guest appearances by local celebrities and personalities such as Stephanie Chai, Joey G, Jojo Struys, Julie Woon, Azura Zainal and more, Rev Asia added.
“The World Cup is the largest sporting event that successfully brings people from all walks of life together,” said Says.com general manager Samuel Wee (pic).
Says Live Football also offers the latest news and trending stories in football, and RM50,000 (US$15,610) worth of prizes to be won.
All Malaysians have to do is simply select the best striker, best defender and best midfielder and they will be in the running to take home grand prizes including all-expenses paid holidays to Krabi, Phuket and Bangkok, and daily prizes including 40-inch LED TVs, tablets, travel vouchers, home theatre systems and more.
Says Live Football aims to reach one million unique visitors monthly throughout the tournament, which ends July 14.
Digital media group Rev Asia, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, was formed in October 2013 from a merger between Says.com and select Catcha Media Bhd subsidiaries.
AllsportzAsia is an online digital initiative aimed at bringing together the sports community in Malaysia and the Asian region.
