K2 appoints new senior VP for APAC, cites strong growth

K2 appoints new senior VP for APAC, cites strong growthBELLEVUE, Washington-headquartered business application software company K2 has appointed Tan Kwang Meng (pic) as its senior vice president for Asia Pacific.
 
In a statement, K2 said Tan’s appointment is a testament to the company’s continuous growth and commitment to the region as a key market in its global expansion strategy.
 
In this new role, he will be responsible for the health and expansion of the K2 business across Asia Pacific by ensuring the implementation of the company’s strategies to grow revenue, increase market share, and improve customer satisfaction.
 
“Asia Pacific continues to be a key region for K2 as we see more companies being increasingly receptive to accelerating business performance and streamlining day-to-day operations through process automation,” said K2 chief executive officer Adriaan van Wyk.
 
With over 20 years of experience in the high-tech sector, Tan brings with him deep familiarity within the Asia Pacific business partner network, and invaluable insights into strategic planning and business management, K2 said in its statement.
 
Prior to this role, he was the area vice president and general manager at CA Technologies in China. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Computer Science from Monash University and began his career at Hewlett-Packard as a systems engineer.
 
Over the course of his career, he has also held various leadership, general management and sales positions at Singapore Computer Systems, Autodesk and Sun Microsystems.
 
“With the abundance of growth opportunities in Asia Pacific, it is exciting to witness K2 being at the forefront of providing customers with an integrated cutting-edge solutions portfolio that facilitates the enhancement of business processes,” said Tan.
 
“I am confident that with the support from the team in Asia Pacific, we will scale greater heights together in the years to come,” he added.
