Unifi supports digitalisation of SMEs with grant 

  • SMEs have access to RM5,000 grant or 50% subsidy for 12 months
  • Over RM1.4 million worth of prizes given out to encourage SMEs to digitalise

Unifi supports digitalisation of SMEs with grant Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM), via unifi, is now an appointed technology service provider (TSP) under the government’s SME digitalisation grant. 

Following the appointment, unifi, as the preferred digital partner to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), has launched a suite of packages that bundles business solutions with connectivity, it said in a statement.

The business solutions available are Microsoft 365 Business Standard, digital marketing solutions and cari@unifi, a premium business listing platform.

The broadband provider said under the SME digitalisation grant, SMEs will be able to apply for a 50% subsidy of up to RM5,000 on business solutions. 

To simplify the grant application process, it has partnered with Bank Simpanan Nasional to help eligible SMEs manage the entire application process.
 
“As the preferred digital partner to SMEs, unifi remains committed to providing affordable digital solutions for Malaysian SMEs,” said Mohamad Yusman Ammeran, head of SME at unifi. 

“The newly introduced business solutions are key to businesses who are cost-conscious and at the same time looking at increasing digital presence, and boosting digital marketing and sales generation,” he added.
 
Yusman said unifi's priorities are to help SMEs kick start their business digitalisation journey and that under the grant, there are free digital marketing workshops that SMEs will get access to.

As a unifi business club member, they will be equipped with the tools and resources to future-proof their business and stay ahead of the competition, he added.

“At unifi, #wecare about the needs of the SMEs and we will always be there to offer assistance in accelerating their business growth. In the coming months, as part of unifi’s efforts to support local businesses, there will be a whole suite of business solutions that will be rolled out in phases,” he said.

In order to encourage more SMEs to embark on business digitalisation, unifi is giving away prizes worth RM1.4 million to new unifi business customers.

There is an ongoing sign-up and drive away campaign, whereby the grand prize of a four-wheel drive (4WD) will be given away every month, in addition to other attractive prizes, unifi said.

These efforts are part of TMs  role as the enabler of digital Malaysia to support the Government’s digital agenda, it added.
