SAP has announced the appointment of Grace Ho (pic) as head of marketing for Asia Pacific and Japan, tasked with further growing the company’s marketing footprint.
Based in Singapore, she assumes responsibility for SAP’s marketing, advertising, brand management, digital and social media across the region, effective immediately, the company said in a statement.
Ho will lead the regional marketing team in supporting sales goals across SAP’s portfolio while executing industry and solutions marketing, customer events, strategic sponsorships and integrated advertising and social media campaigns, among other roles.
As SAP continues to distinguish itself as a market leader in Asia Pacific Japan, her 18 years of sales and marketing experience in IT software, services and hardware will be a critical asset in further driving the company’s business forward, SAP said.
“A large and diversified region, Asia Pacific Japan requires its vast range of markets to be approached in different ways,” said Ho.
“There is much opportunity for growth in the region and it is important that we continue to bring the SAP story to larger and broader audiences as we aim to help businesses run better and improve people’s lives,” she said.
Ho joins SAP from Motorola Solutions Singapore, where she jointly served as both country president and head of sales for the Asia Pacific region.
During her four years at Motorola, she held several senior-level sales and marketing positions and earned a reputation for delivering results in competitive markets.
Prior to joining Motorola, Ho spent 10 years at Microsoft, with roles in Worldwide Product Management in the Mobile Communications Business Group and Asia Pacific marketing director for Enterprise Solutions. She previously also worked with Hewlett-Packard and Compaq.
Ho holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology and biochemistry from the National University of Singapore.
