Pikom reaffirms mission, announces 'mother of all fairs': Page 2 of 2‘Mother of all fairs’
 
The upcoming triple exposition Pikom announxed is being billed as the country’s single largest event on the consumer technology calendar.
 
Featuring the Digital Lifestyle Expo (DLE), GoMobile Expo and PC Fair, the event will take place at the KL Convention Centre from Aug 23-25, and showcase a complete suite of the latest technology products and services.
 
Pikom claimed the event is for the benefit of Malaysian consumers who will now be able to experience an even wider range of exhibits and grab the biggest value-for-money bargains available.
 
MCMC will be participating in DLE. Its chief officer of corporate services and support, Zaib Ahmad, said the event presents an excellent platform for the industry regulator to show that the digital world is the future for Malaysia.
 
Woon said that the GoMobile Expo, has established itself since 2008 as the "major mobile event to look out for every year."

“We believe together with GoMobile Expo, this three-in-one event will be the largest ICT event in the country, offering the greatest ever bargains of the latest tech products and services to consumers.

"This collaboration would certainly eleveate our fair to [new heights] as it will be the most exciting of all the fairs we have ever organised, and the biggest beneficiary of this will be our consumers,” he said.

CommTechAsia chief executive officer Kashminder Singh said the company was looking forward to collaborating on what will be the largest ICT event in the country.
 
“PC Fair has a track record of pulling in tens of thousands of people. I believe this will be a win-win situation for all, not only for GoMobile Expo, but also for Pikom and the shoppers at large as well,” he said.a

Pikom's Shaifubahrim said that in a good year, attendance for a PC Fair or DLE can reach up to 200,000. With the expanded scope of the triple-billed event, he said the association was hopeful that this year’s attendance figures would be the best yet.
 
About 40 booths have already been booked from the total of 300 booths available. Applications for companies to participate in the event is still open, with booths priced at RM4,380 per 9 sq feet, with limited space available.
