Digi Business announced that it is now providing cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) software by Oracle NetSuite, bolstering its effort to support small medium enterprises (SMEs) in digitalising their business.
In a statement, Digi said SMEs can benefit from cloud ERP in managing business operations effectively in areas such as customer management, sales forecasting, sales leads management, campaign management, incentive compensation, and time tracking, among others.
It added that all these activities are captured on a real-time dashboard, giving SMEs a complete view of the operations, as well as reporting and data analytics capabilities.
Oracle NetSuite cloud-based ERP is a system that runs on a cloud platform allowing businesses to access real-time data anytime, anywhere, it said.
According to the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint report, four out of 10 SMEs are using cloud computing but they do so mainly for document storage only, and are not fully harnessing the technology’s capabilities.
Digi’s chief business officer, Eugene Teh said, “Adoption of cloud technology by Malaysian SMEs is still at a nascent stage, so we see tremendous potential for SMEs to fully leverage the benefits that cloud services offer.”
Cloud ERP is a powerful digital tool that will help SMEs streamline their operations, access their financials, and gain more insightful business analytics, Teh said.
“We are excited to be leading the industry in bringing it to SMEs so that we can continue to support their business growth in today’s digital economy.
“This further strengthens the comprehensive suite of connectivity and digital solutions that Digi Business offers SMEs of various sizes and at different stages of their digital transition,” said Teh.
The cloud-based ERP solution by Oracle NetSuite allows businesses from any industry to access the data they need be it in the office or on-the-go.
It is also cost-effective and affordable as it does not require a large upfront investment, and as a cloud service, that also means no on-premise installation is required, Digi said.
Companies utilising the solution will be equipped with a system-wide visibility that is essential for business process management.
This provides business owners with greater clarity on the ongoing processes and will help them detect any inefficiencies that could potentially disrupt productivity within the company, Digi said.
