comScore beefs up APAC team to meet growing demandDIGITAL measurement and analytics firm comScore Inc has expanded its Asia Pacific (APAC) team, seeking to capitalize on opportunities in fast-growing markets in the region.

The APAC region now accounts for more than 40% of the global Internet population and includes some of the fastest growing digital markets, the firm said in a statement.

According to comScore, mass adoption of connected mobile devices and social media has "turbo-charged" digital economies across the region.

The boost is translating to increasing opportunities for marketers to reach and engage with their audiences online, and a corresponding increase in demand for the company’s services.

“Asia Pacific is an important, fast-growing region for comScore and we are very excited to infuse our APAC team with some excellent new talent that will be able to build on our existing momentum. We look forward to continuing to bring our clients high-quality digital products and exceptional client support that deliver value for their businesses,” said Joe Nguyen (pic), comScore senior vice president, APAC.

The new additions to the senior executive team include Kerry J. Brown as vice president of sales for South-East Asia; Cai Fang as vice president of sales for China; and Kate Palmer as account director for Australia.

Two comScore executives, Victor Cheng and Yosuke Maekawa, have also been promoted to head Greater China and Japan, respectively. Other additions to the team include Harry Guo, who came on board in 2012 as director of comScore Marketing Solutions for China, along with the promotion of Kedar Gavane and Samantha Oh to senior director roles.

Gavane has been instrumental in making India comScore’s fastest growing market while Oh heads the Account Management team in Asia and has expanded comScore’s client servicing capabilities to serve the expanding number of clients in the region.
