Astro rolls out Wi-Fi dongle, free trial for ‘Catch-Up’ service

ASTRO said its customers can now access and download their favourite video-on-demand (VOD) programs anytime on their B.yond PVR (personal video recorder) with the newly launched Astro Wi-Fi Dongle, which adds wireless Internet access.
The Astro Wi-Fi Dongle gives easy access to the wide range of movie titles in the Astro B.yond VOD library, including Astro First and Astro Best movies, the satellite TV company said in a statement.
The Astro Wi-Fi dongle can be purchased from Astro’s Customer Service at RM110, or a special price of RM50 for Super Pack customers with B.yond PVR.

As an introductory offer, Astro is offering a free trial of the Astro B.yond VOD Catch-Up Service for all connected B.yond PVRs until Jan 31. For example, if you are a Movie Pack subscriber, you will be able to watch movies offered on that channel via the Catch Up service.
Amongst the new titles added to Astro B.yond VOD service are titles such as Brave, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, The Proposal, Prince of Persia as well as Asian and Bollywood movies such as Chalte Chalte, Ashoka, The Mask of Love, The Zodiac Mystery and many more.
The line-up on Catch-Up TV includes Oh My English, Korean and Chinese dramas such as Yes Captain, “Ghetto Justice II” and “Men With No Shadows” as well as kid’s favourites such as “Phineas and Ferb”, “Power Puff Girls” and “Ben 10” with more catch up titles refreshed daily.
