Woolfrey was formerly Asia Pacific managing director for Verizon/ AOL owned advertising firm Millennial Media, and set up the company’s Asia operations in 2011, Amobee said in a statement.
Prior to Millennial Media, he led sales for inMobi across South-East Asia and has been a native of Singapore for more than a decade.
“We believe the future of engaging with connected audiences will be led by access to the best data, combined with powerful creative and new ad formats,” said Amobee chief executive officer Mark Strecker.
“Robert [Woolfrey] brings significant digital advertising experience and will allow us to continue to provide the most advanced marketing solutions to our customers,” he added.
Amobee also announced the launch of Amobee Triggers, which gives marketers the ability to target and deliver digital campaigns at “key consumer mindset moments,” the company said.
Powered by the company’s Brand Intelligence platform, Amobee Triggers enables brands to activate media around the moments that matter most to consumers.
Brand Intelligence analyses digital content consumption across web, social, mobile and video to identify, monitor, and trigger digital campaigns based on real-time trending topics of interest for consumers at times that will best drive engagement and performance.
“I am delighted to be joining Amobee, a leader in digital marketing technology, at a time of significant expansion and innovation for the company, and a growth moment in digital advertising in Asia,” said Woolfrey.
“Amobee has a distinct advantage through our technology platform, the brands we serve, and our relationship with the broader Singtel Group, which has nearly 600 million mobile subscribers,” he added.
