- Vic led M’sian operations since 2021, nearly doubling the country's revenue
Seek, the parent company of Asia’s leading online employment marketplaces Jobstreet and Jobsdb, has announced senior leadership changes to support its growth agenda in the region.
Vic Sithasanan, who led the Malaysian operations since 2021, will step into the role of managing director (MD) for Jobstreet in Singapore. This strategic move leverages Vic’s experience from his successful tenure in Malaysia to enhance operational efficiencies and drive growth in Singapore. Meanwhile, Nicholas Lam, previously the regional head of growth and monetisation for Asia at Seek, has been appointed as the new MD for Jobstreet in Malaysia.
In their roles, Vic and Lam will lead the business growth and operations in Singapore and Malaysia, respectively, leveraging Jobstreet’s strong presence of over 25 years to drive continued expansion and market leadership.
Over his three-year tenure as MD of Malaysia, Vic close to doubled the revenue of the business in the country, achieving significant financial growth and solidifying Jobstreet's leadership in the market. He also established strong partnerships with leading employers across various sectors, further reinforcing Jobstreet’s position as the go-to recruitment platform for both job seekers and businesses in Malaysia.
Prior to joining Seek, Vic held senior leadership roles in digital technology businesses across Asia, where he successfully drove growth in both local and regional operations.
“I’m excited about this new chapter in Singapore. The opportunities in this market are immense with Singapore being one of the leading business and talent hubs not just in the region, but in the world. I look forward to leveraging my experience to drive our strategic vision forward while delivering value to talent and employers in the country,” Vic said.
Stepping into the role of MD for Malaysia, Lam brings a wealth of experience and strategic insight, honed through his previous role where he played a pivotal part in shaping and executing commercial strategies that drove Seek’s regional expansion. He first joined Seek in 2018, where he set up and led the regional customer experience and service operations functions across Seek’s six Asian markets. Prior to Seek, Lam held senior leadership roles in the media industry and worked as a management consultant specialising in strategy and operations transformation across various sectors.
Lam said, “It’s a privilege to step into this role and lead the charge in advancing our mission. Working alongside our talented team in Malaysia, I’m excited to engage directly with job seekers and employers to drive impactful changes in the job market. Together, we will empower individuals to unlock their full potential, connect them with opportunities that transform their lives, and create a stronger, more dynamic workforce for the future.”
