SAP appoints new head of mid-market for APJ

- Assumes role previously held by Claus Andresen
- Andresen will move to different role
SAP Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) announced the appointment of Subramanian Ananthapadmanabhan (pic) as senior vice president (SVP) and head of Midmarket, APJ.
He steps into the role previously held by SVP Claus Andresen, who now takes on leadership of Cloud Success Services, APJ, SAP said in a statment.
Subramanian will lead a regional team assisting small and medium enterprises to leverage the power of intelligent enterprise solutions to transform their business.
He will be responsible for driving the go-to-market strategy, focusing on cloud hypergrowth, identifying and building opportunities in new market segments and driving customer lifetime value, it added.
Subramaniam was previously head of midmarket, SAP India, where he has built a customer-centric, partner-first business. Before joining SAP in 2012, he held leadership positions at Oracle and IBM.
Established in 2022, SAP said the Cloud Success Services organisation unites a global force of more than 20,000 people to bring new services offerings, helping customers maximise value in the cloud with SAP at every single touchpoint.
Under Andresen’s leadership, the organisation works with Fortune 500 companies, startups, and SMEs across the region to ensure they extract maximum value from their enterprise software.
With more than a decade’s experience in Asia Pacific, Andresen is passionate about how digital transformation can confer competitive advantage by achieving strategic business objectives.
