VIDEO marketing has grown in importance. According to the State of Video Marketing report by animated explainer video leader Wyzowl, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused an overwhelming increase in viewership of online videos as 93% of marketers say that videos are now an essential component of their marketing strategies.
Video production, however, can be both a harrowing and expensive endeavour, especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and small businesses, many which are digitalising in order to survive in the pandemic and have their resources and skills stretched thin.
Enter Oneshot, a Singapore-based marketing its software as a service (SaaS) video making tool.
Claiming to be the “world’s simplest video maker”, Oneshot positions itself as a tool for beginners and individuals with limited video editing skills to product their own pro-grade videos with relative ease.
Oneshot features a point-and-click interface supported by various pre-built, professionally-designed templates to cater to numerous businesses and industries.
Additionally, it offers itself at a more affordable price point, allowing businesses of different budgets to still access and create marketing videos.
“We realise that many businesses, especially SMEs, are inconsistent in asserting their presence online. Many are still tightening purse strings or fighting to remain afloat, and hiring a creative agency is an expensive luxury,” said Cindy Chay, co-founder of Oneshot.
“However, cutting down on the marketing budget affects a business' brand presence and reduces the opportunity to boost online traffic and sales.”
Chay said Oneshot looks to bridge this gap and provide SMEs and other smaller companies access to perfectly optimised videos at an affordable price.
Guided by a point-and-click interface, Chay claimed that Oneshot is easy to use and enables its users, whether complete beginners or individuals with limited video editing knowledge, to create pro-grade videos at their fingertips.
Oneshot offers three packages to choose from: Lite, which prices at US$29.49 (SG$39) for three videos; Pro, going for US$120 (SG$159) for 20 videos; and Ultimate, which is US$90 (SG$120) for 20 videos per month.
It’s worth noting that the video maker does not offer stock images or footages, which Oneshot said is to encourage brands to use their own assets in “creating authentic videos for their various personal or business uses.”
