SINGAPORE-headquartered financial technology (fintech) company GoSwiff International has announced the appointments of Damien Kopp (pic above) as its new chief technology officer, and Sherlina Chew as its global head of human resources.
As CTO, Kopp will be tasked with expanding GoSwiff’s omnichannel payment offering and build a roadmap of innovative integrated services for merchants, the company said in a statement.
“We are operating in a fast-changing mobile environment where speed, data, advanced technologies and connectivity are driving the future of the mobile payment industry,” said Mark Patrick, who was appointed chief executive officer earlier this month.
“Damien [Kopp] has all the credentials in high-tech and payments to lead GoSwiff’s products into the future,” he added.
Kopp comes with over 11 years of software delivery, product development and business consulting experience at Accenture.
He has developed extensive cross-industry and technical expertise by working closely with government organisations, card issuers and payment processors across Europe, the Americas and South-East Asia, the company said.
“We are building the next generation of payment solutions focused on providing a convenient and seamless customer experience, enabling online, mobile and in-store commerce and offering new revenue generating services to merchants via a strong network of partners,” said Kopp.
Meanwhile, in her new role as human resources (HR) head, Chew will develop the overall HR function and lead the entire spectrum of HR services across GoSwiff’s regions.
She will also drive strategic HR business plans, talent management and align human capital priorities.
“With staff from over 30 countries and operations in 25 countries, we will greatly benefit from Sherlina’s [Chew] vast experience both in global companies and banks,” said Patrick.
Chew (pic) has worked for several leading regional and international banks. In her most recent role, she was the HR head at FGB Asia Pacific (First Gulf Bank) in Singapore.
Prior to FGB, she was vice president and HR business partner for Société Générale Corporate & Investment Bank, a French multinational banking and financial services company headquartered in Paris.
Her previous experience includes Misys International, a global financial services software provider for the financial industry, General Electric, UOB, OCBC and Standard Chartered Bank.
“GoSwiff is in a very exciting phase of its growth and the company not only has big plans but also commitment around talent,” said Chew.
“I am looking forward to being an integrated partner in the company’s growth, working in partnership with the leadership team to take the company to the next level by attracting and developing future professionals in the mobile payments industry,” she added.
