Open to Malaysian students enrolled in public and private universities in Malaysia and Singapore, the programme received a total of 700 applications this year. In addition to covering tuition fees and living expenses, the scholarship offers internship opportunities, hands-on experience, and guaranteed job placements with Maxis upon graduation.

The emphasis on STEM education reflects Maxis’ ongoing efforts to advance the nation’s digital agenda. The company remains committed to developing future-ready talent equipped for tomorrow’s economy, including cultivating skills in next-generation technologies such as generative artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data, and 5G.

Since 2006, Maxis has been providing scholarships to help students achieve their academic aspirations, with 346 scholarships awarded to date.

Patrick Er, chief people and transformation officer at Maxis, said: “At Maxis, we believe in developing people, especially our youth, to achieve their full potential. By empowering them with the right exposure and opportunities, we can develop future-ready Malaysian talent who can succeed as tomorrow’s leaders.
