- New feature simplifies search process, helps users locate deals
iPrice Group has announced a major update to its website to simplify the process online shoppers go through to find the best deals when shopping online.
In a statement, the price comparison platform said it has a mission to bring greater transparency, convenience, and trust to Southeast Asia’s e-commerce landscape to help consumers save money.
It does this by searching over seven billion offers from sellers across shopping platforms such as Shopee, Lazada and Tokopedia and displays to consumers the best deal.
It said that its latest product update uses proprietary machine learning technology to filter out unreliable or misleading offers.
The firm said this additional feature simplifies the search process and helps users save time in locating the best offer.
The update also introduces a new layout highlighting the full price range from curated, trustworthy merchants to improve transparency, it added.
The product discovery experience has also been improved, with customers quickly able to extract key merchant name and review information, saving hours of research checking offers and seller reliability, the company claimed.
“We’ve listened to feedback from our users,” said Heinrich Wendel, iPrice co-founder and chief product officer.
“By filtering out unreliable or misleading offers we simplify the search process and remove the common frustration of having to navigate thousands of disorganised results on conventional marketplaces/search engines,” he added.
With over 20% growth in 2022 to date, e-commerce continues to be one the fastest-growing sectors in Southeast Asia economy, iPrice said.
The latest update is part of an ongoing initiative by iPrice to evolve its search and compare platform to improve price transparency across marketplaces to help online consumers save money.
