LOCAL early-stage technology companies accredited through Accreditation@IDA (A@IDA) will now be provided with increased access to larger infrastructure and urban development projects as the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) inked two Memorandum of Intents (MOIs) with infrastructure and property players, Surbana Jurong and Lendlease.

Both partnerships will empower IDA accredited companies to expand beyond the government sector by winning projects through Surbana Jurong’s and Lendlease’s worldwide footprint.

Surbana Jurong provides consultancy for urbanisation and infrastructure development with projects in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Through this partnership, IDA accredited companies will be able to participate in masterplanning projects and building on successful deployments.

Two IDA accredited companies, Evercomm (an energy analytics company) and Sense Infosys (a data analytics company) are already in discussions with Surbana Jurong to explore integration into “Smart City in a Box”, a platform that gels various innovative smart city solutions together.

Lendlease provides services throughout the property spectrum such as development works, investment management, project management for construction and asset management.

This partnership will allow for IDA accredited companies’ tech solutions to be explored for existing and future projects for Lendlease in Singapore, as well as overseas markets such as Asia Pacific and Australia.

Lendlease is in discussions with relevant technology providers under the IDA Accreditation portfolio for solutions ranging from video analytics to energy management, and have created a sandbox environment for them to trial at Lendlease.

A@IDA will collaborate with both partners to create recurring platforms to regularly feature all IDA accredited companies’ innovative and disruptive tech solutions to the various user departments in the companies.

Currently, A@IDA has engaged more than 83 government agencies to generate over S$45 million (RM135.72 million) worth of pipeline opportunities for accredited companies, out of which, over 41 projects have been won to-date. Leveraging on these opportunities, seven of the accredited companies have since raised S$24.4 million worth of new growth capital during or after being accredited to support their growth.

“Accreditation@IDA helps local tech companies by recognising the quality of their tech solutions and making it easier for them to access new markets in the government and enterprise sectors. Partnerships such as with Surbana Jurong and Lendlease help companies seize new opportunities not only in Singapore but globally as well,” said IDA of Singapore co-managing director Gabriel Lim.
