  • First state to achieve 100% implementation of Phase 1 infrastructure
  • Edotco to construct 258 telecom towers for Jendela Phase 1 initiative nationwide

Edotco Malaysia has announced the completion and handover of 27 tower sites for Phase 1 under the National Digital Network Plan (Jendela) in Negeri Sembilan to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). This milestone was celebrated in a ceremony attended by the Negeri Sembilan chief minister, Hj. Aminuddin bin Harun, marking a significant achievement in the Jendela project as Negeri Sembilan becomes the first state to achieve 100% implementation of Phase 1 infrastructure.

Edotco attributed the success of the project to the close collaboration of all stakeholders, including the state government, local authorities, and relevant agencies, in overcoming various challenges such as identifying suitable sites in forested areas, Orang Asli territories, and reservoirs, as well as obtaining permission and approval from landowners for tower locations.

Group CEO of Edotco, Adlan Tajudin, stated, “We understand the importance of this project, and we are proud to be a strategic partner offering our expertise in providing infrastructure facilities to assist mobile network operators in expanding services, particularly in unconnected rural areas of Negeri Sembilan.”

To date, Edotco Malaysia has been entrusted with constructing 258 telecommunication towers under the Jendela Phase 1 initiative nationwide, solidifying its position as a leading industry player in advancing Malaysia’s telecommunication infrastructure. This achievement aligns with the nation’s goal of achieving comprehensive connectivity and technological advancement.

Additionally, the company contributes to the government's vision of expanding reliable high-speed coverage and enhancing the quality of broadband experience in rural areas to promote economic and social development.
