Commvault, a leading provider of cyber resilience and data protection solutions for hybrid cloud organisations, has further strengthened its Asia Pacific (APAC) leadership team with the recent appointment of Jill Macmurchy as chief customer officer for APAC. Earlier this year, Craig Bastow stepped into his role as area vice president for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Together, these appointments underscore Commvault’s dedication to addressing customer needs with resilient, tailored data protection, security, and recovery solutions.

Based out of ANZ, Macmurchy will drive customer success and innovation across APAC, helping organisations achieve their modernisation goals. She brings a wealth of leadership experience from senior leadership roles at Confluent and New Relic, with deep technical expertise across solutions engineering and pre-sales.

“I’m excited to work alongside our customers to make resilience a competitive advantage. Our commitment goes beyond data protection - we’re empowering businesses across APAC to swiftly recover as well as thrive in the face of cyber threats,” Macmurchy said.

Earlier this year, Craig Bastow, a Commvault veteran with over a decade of experience at the company, assumed the role of area vice president for ANZ. With his comprehensive expertise in the ANZ technology sector, including IT trade and the public sector, Bastow has been instrumental in strengthening regional operations and customer engagement.

"It has been an incredible year leading Commvault’s efforts in ANZ. Our region faces increasingly complex risks, and Commvault is committed to meeting these challenges head-on. With our team’s dedication and innovative solutions, we’re poised to set new standards in cyber resilience across ANZ," Bastow said.

These appointments come at a critical time as organisations across ANZ navigate an increasingly complex market landscape, characterised by rising cyber threats, stringent regulatory requirements, and a growing need for resilient, scalable data protection solutions.

"Commvault’s growth across APAC reflects our global reputation as a leader in cyber resilience. These new strategic roles advance our mission and reinforce our commitment to our customers. Our customers provide the insights that enable us to navigate the evolving data security and recovery landscape. And together, we’re ensuring that Commvault remains at the forefront of providing robust and scalable data security solutions,” Martin Creighan, vice president of Asia Pacific at Commvault said.
