3M partners Lmall.my to boost e-commerce presence


3M MALAYSIA on June 1 strengthened its presence in the e-commerce arena by partnering with LMall.my, a premium marketplace for brands managed by Interbase Resources Sdn Bhd. 

The partnership guarantees its shoppers 100% assured, genuine products delivered directly by a 3M eDistributor who works with 3M Malaysia to establish the brand’s official e-commerce presence.

3M Malaysia managing director Parameswaran Nair said, “As the maker of some of the world’s most recognised brands in the safety and graphics, electronics and energy, healthcare, industrial and consumer industries, we believe it is important to build and grow an e-commerce system to enhance and reach out to our growing customer base and meet the changing customer demand as well as expand the accessibility of newly introduced products.”

Interbase Resources also manages other online marketplaces including Lelong.my, Pretty.my and Superbuy.my.

With over 19 years of experience in the local e-commerce industry, the company launched LMall.my as a marketplace that prioritises the selling and buying of 100% authentic products from brands.

“LMall.my is a platform that prioritises trust for online shoppers and is the first and only online marketplace where shoppers can buy guaranteed, 100% authentic products directly from the brand owners or their appointed distributors.

“We hope to expand this online marketplace with more brands in the years to come as the e-commerce scene in Malaysia continues to grow,” said Interbase Resources managing director Richard Tan. 

3M Asia Marketing-Sales director S C Chok also attended the official launch of the partnership. He said, “This partnership is an example of how 3M does business the right way, every day and everywhere in the world to grow customer trust and value for our shareholders.

“It also allows us to continue supporting local businesses as we do with the SME industry in Malaysia, on top of our strong commitment to grow and drive our e-commerce presence in Malaysia. “

Taking this partnership one step further, 3M Malaysia also plans to utilise LMall.my’s home-grown technologies to establish digital-led business models for the brand’s offerings in B2C and B2b, as well as hopes to create more payment flexibility through the Interbase Resources’ payment platform, NetPay.

In the near future, 3M also intends to launch a B2b platform on its LMall.my store to help SME businesses gain easier and better access to 100% genuine products.

The focus will be primarily on its Maintenance, Repair & Operations space where products such as abrasives, tapes, adhesives, personal safety equipment, and so forth will be made available.

The 3M official store on LMall.my now features products in the Home Improvement, Car Care, Water Filter, Hardware, Personal Care, and Cleaning and Washing categories featuring 3M brands such as Scotch-Brite, Command, Scotch, 3M AutoCare, 3M water filters and many more.

The 3M official store on LMall.my is now live. Purchases above RM60 will receive free delivery service.
