Zebra Technologies names Ryan Goh Asia Pacific VP and GMZEBRA Technologies Corporation has announced the appointment of Ryan Goh (pic) as the new vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific.

He brings with him more than 15 years of regional leadership experience in both Zebra Technologies and Motorola Solutions.

This assignment follows eight years leading the region as Zebra Asia Pacific’s vice president of sales, where he was instrumental in building a strong sales structure and developing the company’s PartnersFirst programme across the region, Zebra said in a statement.

This announcement follows Zebra’s successful acquisition of Motorola Solutions’ Enterprise business last year.

“Asia Pacific is a key growth region for Zebra, now more than ever, on the rise of smart cities and a workforce that is smarter and more connected,” said Zebra global chief executive officer Anders Gustafsson.

“These megatrends present an abundance of opportunities for Zebra and our partners, to help enterprises and governments take advantage of this connected age with Zebra’s solutions that drive improved productivity and enhanced customer experiences.

“I’m confident that under Ryan’s [Goh] leadership, we will raise Zebra’s performance in Asia Pacific to a new level and inspire even closer relationships with our valued partners across the region,” he added.

Goh succeeds Rod Rodericks who delivered significant contributions to the success of Zebra’s Asia Pacific region prior to the acquisition close, and was also instrumental in driving regional integration efforts.

Rodericks is undertaking projects associated with the recent acquisition before retiring at the end of the year, Zebra said.

Goh joined Zebra Technologies in 2006 from Motorola Solutions (previously Symbol Technologies), where he spent six years helping to build its business in Asia.

He holds a dual-degree MBA from Tsinghua University and Insead, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Nanyang Technological University.

“Representing about 15% of Zebra’s total sales, Asia Pacific remains a key focus [for] Zebra,” said Goh.

“I have great confidence in our extensive local partnerships as well as the capabilities of my team. We look forward to enabling and empowering enterprises in the region to become as smart and connected as the world we live in,” he added.
